Who am I?

My Name is Marco Balverde from Sydney Australia, I play and have had the honor of captaining at both Dulwich Hill football club and St Pius X College first IX. I want to be able to experience something new and gain new perspectives to help improve my football/soccer abilities, as well as the ability to study and achieve an exercise and sports science degree. This would help me to improve my athletic abilities both mentally and physically. I am hardworking, dedicated and committed to learning and improving both on the pitch and in the classroom.

What do you want to achieve on the field and in the classroom as a student-athlete?

I want to be able to achieve the highest level possible and work hard to improve my footballing abilities, as well as contribute positively to help my team mates to create a successful and positive environment, so the team and I become successful and hopefully achieve something major together. I also want to achieve in an academic space, the end goal to complete my chosen degree and create new friends  and mentors to help support me throughout my college experience.

Why do you want to play college soccer?

I want to play college soccer because I want to experience new things and this pathway allows me to gain a new experience, travel outside of Australia, help me to adapt to new into a new environment and learn to be more independent. I also want to be able to experience playing against a wider range of players, learn new things and possibly new ways of playing.
